A simple thesis template for use by UWA students for their Final Year Projects. IEEE format referencing uses Biber, lots of useful packages. A nice clean look, without anything complicated.

The biblatex-chicago package implements the citation style of the Chicago Manual of Style, 16th edition. In this example, the notes option causes biblatex's autocite command to put citations in footnotes. The package can also produce inline author-year citations in the Chicago style. This example shows how to automatically generate citations and a bibliography with biblatex and biber. Biblatex and biber work together to automatically format references and citations like the older cite or natbib and bibtex tool chain, but they offer more powerful and easier to use formatting and better support for special characters (unicode). For a full list of biblatex styles, see the user guide in the biblatex manual.

This is the writing template for the ``Sprint Beyond the Book'' sessions at SSP 2016. We invite you to join our team of science fiction authors, scholars, digital publishers, journalists, and technologists to write, edit, assemble and publish a book about the future of scholarly publishing on-the-fly in 72 hours. We will employ a variety of collaborative technologies and explore the idea of writing as a performance. In order to pull off this ambitious plan, we need your help! Please stop by to help brainstorm, write, or edit contributions. Each concurrent session will confront participants with different provocation about the future of scholarly publishing. The purpose of the class yathesis is to facilitate dissertations’ typesetting of theses prepared in France, whatever disciplines and institutes. It implements most notably recommendations from the Ministry of Higher Education and Research and this, transparently to the user. It has also been designed to (optionally) take advantage of powerful tools available in LaTeX, including packages: biblatex for the bibliography ; glossaries for the glossary, list of acronyms and symbols list. The yathesis class, based on the book class, aims to be both simple to use and, to some extent, (easily) customizable. The present template is more a sample than a template but can be used as a starting point to gradually fit your own needs. A real template can be found [here].
